In golf you are essentially your own opponent.  You cannot influence how well others play, or exert control over the course or the weather conditions.  You are a team of one and the only control you have is over your own performance.  BUT.....

.....On Saturday, Hidden Meadows Golf Course was bathed in a glorious warm and sunny late summer day.  The course was lush, green, and beautiful.  And the place was packed with happy faces anxious to hit the links and maybe...just maybe they could beat that formidable opponent in themselves because they were no longer a team of one but rather of four and only the best ball counts.

On the fourth tee the divots weren't the only green flying.  Wallets came out and the green changed hands for a chance to win raffle prizes.  As they rolled up from the ninth green, many golfers stopped to try their luck....or skill....at the pitching and putting contests, grab a hot sandwich and drink at the BBQ, and then head out again for the next round.  In the end, everyone had a good time.  And it doesn’t matter who won.  When we raise some money for a good cause, everyone is a winner!  Thanks to all our players and volunteers who helped make the day a success.
