Bangor Area Breakfast  Rotary is delighted to be hosting the 10th annual Bangor Jazz concert showcasing the extraordinary talent of area high school music programs.  And of course they are proud to hold an event that encourages and promotes local musical talent and supports school music programs as well as local non-profits. These area high school music programs are preparing what is sure to be an amazing display of Jazz music for your entertainment.

Thanks to the schools and generous sponsors, the Jazz concert on March 31st, 2015 will result in a $1,000 award to each of the five groups that perform. An additional $1,000 will be awarded to the band that sells the most tickets and finally a $1,000 will be awarded to the school that the panel of judges deems performed the best.

We here at Old Town Rotary have decided to sponsor the Old Town High School Jazz Ensembles for this event.  They will be using the 2 Jazz Ensembles for this year's performance which will involve 35 students.  With this they will be able to play their Jazz program from the State Jazz Festival and maybe an additional tune to fill out the program.  Even though it only involves just the Jazz students, all of the money that is won will go to the whole band program.  The more tickets sold by Old Town High School, the bigger chance of winning the $2000 prize.
