-Due to rising costs for the Big Bear Inn, the cost of our weekly meetings will be going up to $15 effective this week.
 
-Remember to let President Corina know if you are not coming or if you are bringing guests to the next meeting.
 
-The next Board meeting will be held on February 10th at Doug & Pat's house.  Check the upcoming events for details.
 
-Maine Youth Fish And Game Association is holding a second Family Ice Fishing Day this week at Pickerel Pond.  Check it out in the upcoming events section and bring those youngin's on out to the pond for a classic Maine tradition - the way life should be! 
 
-We are looking at possibly forming a team for Bowling for Kids Sake to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Mid-Maine.  We will need five bowlers to make a team.  For easy access to details we are rerunning the story from a couple weeks ago in this newsletter, which also contains a link to the page for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.  The story is also available on the club website home page.  
 
-Winter is in full swing and the local foodbanks are being stretched beyond their limits.  We are collecting non-perishable canned goods for several local banks at each meeting, every week in February and March.  If you would like to donate, please bring your canned food to the regular club meeting.
 
-The meeting on February 12th will be off site at the University of Maine.  Some details are available in the upcoming speakers list.  The cost will be $22 per person and we will need a hard head count in advance.  You will be receiving a registration email from President Corina in the near future.  Please respond as soon as possible to facilitate the head count.
 
-Once again this year the "Cross Egypt Challenge" is open for registration.  "Cross Egypt Challenge" is a series of international cross-country endurance scooter rallies throughout one of the most mysterious countries in the world, Egypt.  This Rotary organized initiative aims to promote tourism to Egypt, world understanding, and alternative transport.  If you have any interest please see President Corina for details.
